The finest solar telescope Lunt makes. The finest portable solar telescope commercially available. Nothing else comes close.

New-generation etalons throughout — every unit individually tested on Lunt's precision metrology equipment. Every specification is verified, not estimated.

There are solar telescopes. And then there is the LS130MT Flagship Kit.

At 130mm of clear aperture through a professional-grade FLP51 ED triplet objective, paired with the LFPT internal double-stack module and its <0.28Å combined system bandpass, the Flagship Kit delivers chromospheric contrast and resolution that very few human beings have ever experienced outside of dedicated research observatories. Two independently pressure-tuned etalons in series. Dual Doppler True tuning knobs. Full red-wing to blue-wing Doppler control, instantly, from any location, at any altitude.

This is also, without modification, a world-class astronomical refractor. Remove the solar module and the LS130MT becomes a 130mm f/7 FLP51 ED triplet APO — planetary detail, lunar topography, and deep-sky views that most observers never encounter outside of observatory eyepieces.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

At <0.28Å combined bandpass through 130mm of premium FLP51 ED triplet optics, the chromosphere opens up in a way that demands a moment of stillness before you begin observing. Supergranulation cells resolve as a structured, living network. Individual intergranular lanes become visible at the boundaries between cells. Plage regions glow with internal structure — knots and threads of concentrated magnetic field. Filaments show multiple dark strands with distinct boundaries. Active regions display their full magnetic architecture — penumbral flows, light bridges, Ellerman bombs — in real time, evolving visibly over a single session.

Prominences at 130mm and <0.28Å are extraordinary. Internal threading resolves from base to tip. Flow patterns within prominence plasma become traceable. Structural evolution becomes visible on timescales of minutes. Dual independent Doppler True pressure tuning lets you scan through the hydrogen-alpha line with precision — watching the entire chromospheric landscape respond as you move from blue wing to red.

By night: the Moon as a geological landscape. Planetary disks with the color correction that FLP51 ED triplet optics provide. Globular clusters resolved to their cores. Double stars split at the theoretical limit of the aperture. One instrument. Two disciplines. No compromise in either.

WHY THIS PACKAGE

The LFPT Internal Double Stack Module is included. The DS module adds a second 0.35Å etalon in series with the telescope's internal 0.45Å pressure-tuned etalon — delivering <0.28Å combined system bandpass with no external filter to mount or remove. Customer-installed, no factory return required. Dual independent tuning knobs give separate control over each etalon for maximum flexibility in optimizing bandpass position for any solar feature.

Purchased individually, the components of the LS130MT Flagship Kit retail for over $11,300. The Flagship Kit price of $9,995 represents a saving of over $1,300 — and includes the LFPT DS module (retailing at $2,995) at an effective package price of $2,500, saving $495 on the module alone. This is the complete, configured, observatory-ready system — everything needed to observe the chromosphere at the highest level available anywhere, for any budget.
