About Chroma Filters
Chroma produces premium astronomy filters using durable sputtered hard coatings on single high-grade glass substrates, eliminating the need for laminations. Primary coatings are applied to the front surface and anti-reflection coatings to the rear surface to minimize ghosting and maximize transmission. These filters maintain highly accurate, stable passbands that do not shift with temperature or humidity changes. All models are optimized for use with optical systems of f/4 or slower.
Cleaning, Handling, and Orientation
Handle Chroma filters only by their edges. Clean them sparingly and only when needed. Remove loose debris with a bulb puffer or filtered compressed air. If further cleaning is required, lightly wipe the surface with anhydrous alcohol and lint-free lab wipes, using a fresh area of the wipe with each pass.
