Draco uses a 90 mm catadioptric telephoto system with a 340 mm focal length and a fast f/3.8 focal ratio. The large 1/1.3-inch telephoto sensor can operate at high native resolution or use 2×2 binning for stronger low-light signal collection.

Draco combines an independent guide-scope sensor, real-time tracking correction and physical CMOS rotation. The result is an integrated system designed to reduce star trailing and field rotation during long exposures.
Cool the sensor. Help keep the optics clear.
Active CMOS cooling reduces thermal noise at the source. Draco also reuses sensor heat to help warm the lens, providing automatic dew prevention during cold or humid imaging sessions.
Its specified operating range extends from -20°C to 45°C, making Draco a genuinely field-oriented imaging system rather than a fair-weather-only gadget.

Draco can capture through its telephoto and wide-angle cameras in the same session. Use the main telescope for your astronomical target while the ultra-wide camera records the larger sky and landscape around it.

What is Draco?
Draco is an all-in-one smart observatory focused on astrophotography. It combines a 90 mm telescope, telephoto and wide-angle cameras, guiding, physical field-rotation correction, cooling, tracking, capture and app-based processing in an integrated 5.5 kg system.
How is Draco different from DWARF 3 or DWARF mini?
DWARF mini prioritizes compact entry-level use and DWARF 3 emphasizes portable multi-scenario imaging. Draco is the performance-focused step up, with larger aperture, faster optics, longer single-frame exposures, built-in guiding, sensor cooling, physical field-rotation correction and a more observatory-like workflow.
Should I choose Standard or SHO?
Choose Standard if you want the broadest all-around astronomy and solar capability. Choose SHO if nebulae and automated sulfur/hydrogen/oxygen narrowband imaging are a priority. The SHO model adds an SII + OIII narrowband filter and uses an external magnetic solar filter.
Can both cameras capture at the same time?
Yes. Draco can capture telephoto and wide-angle views during the same session, giving you both the detailed target and the wider environment.
Can Draco image from a city?
Yes. The Moon, Sun, brighter clusters and brighter nebulae are suitable urban targets. Fainter galaxies, nebulae and dust structures generally benefit from darker skies and longer total integration time.
Can Draco photograph the Sun?
Yes, only with the approved solar workflow. The Standard Edition uses its built-in OD5 solar filter. The SHO Edition uses the supplied external magnetic solar filter. Always follow the in-app solar safety process.
Does Draco replace a traditional telescope?
Draco can replace many components of a conventional imaging rig, but it does not provide visual eyepiece observing. It is best thought of as an integrated imaging observatory rather than a universal replacement for every telescope.
