Once you have mastered the techniques covered in the Image Processing Basics section you can further enhance your images with these advanced methods.  Some of the images used here are from the Advanced Imaging Techniques section.  You may refer to this section to see how the images were captured.  Several software packages are available for image processing.  Most of the techniques discussed here can be accomplished using any advanced image processing program.  One of the most popular is Cyanogen's MaxIm DL, so it is used for the examples which follow.  For software-specific instructions, visit the Software Instructions section.
