- Position telescope with the nose up at 45°,
lock clutch
- Attach counterweight (if using a fork-mounted
telescope)
- Remove secondary mirror retaining ring
- Remove secondary mirror
- Place mirror into protective holder and
attach retaining ring
- Thread HyperStar lens onto telescope
- Attach CCD camera using T-threads, or DSLR
using bayonet mount
- Connect camera cables
- Tie off cables to telescope/mount
- Balance the telescope
- Use camera software's focus mode to align the
telescope's computer system
