If you have read the Telescopes for CCD Imaging pages of the
Equipment Basics
section on this website, you know there are a variety of telescopes available. If you have
not, a quick glance at the product sections of the Starizona website will make
it clear that there are a lot of scopes out there! This makes it more difficult to give a specific set of instructions to cover
all the possibilities. However, the basic steps necessary for assembling a
telescope for a night of CCD imaging are very similar for any type of
scope. In the following section, instructions are given for a generic
setup. Where appropriate, directions are given for a specific type of
telescope and are clearly indicated.
