The Versatile Take-Anywhere Scope Designed for Day time and Nightime Gazing

The ShortTube 80 is of of the popular scopes we sell. Ideal as both a spotting scope or a portable wide-field astronomical telescope, the ST80 is a versatile and inexpensive instrument. The ST80 is also popular as a guidescope, and its wide field of view perfectly compliments Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, making it a common choice for piggybacking on an SCT.

The ShortTube 80 can mount to a standard photo tripod using a built-in 1/4"-20 threaded mount.

The seamless aluminum tube features an aluminum rack-and-pinion focuser. The 45-degree correct-image diagonal and 6x26 correct-image finder scope match the naked-eye view. Includes two Sirius™ Plossl eyepieces. One-year limited warranty.
