C8-A-XLT (CGE) Optical Tube Assembly - HyperStar Compatible

Celestron has discontinued Fastar compatibility on all standard 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. However, Starizona is offering kits to retrofit 8" telescopes with HyperStar-compatibility, the ability to easily remove the secondary mirror and replace it with a HyperStar lens for f/2 CCD imaging. This OTA includes the HyperStar-compatible secondary kit pre-installed. Please allow 3-5 additional days on order to allow for installation and testing.

8" f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube. Includes enhanced XLT coatings, aluminum tube, CGE (Losmandy-style) dovetail bar, 25mm Plossl eyepiece, 1.25" star diagonal, visual back, 6x30 finderscope.
